This is my first monday being at home instead of being a STI. I miss my fellow campers and my counselors. We had some good laughs and learned alot about transportation.

Railroad Museum

Wellll I don't have much to say about this trip. It didn't have much to offer. I was bored after a while, I finished looking at all the trains in like 15 minutes so after that we just sat around. There was no tour guide so I didn't really pay attention to everything I probly should have.
But yea after this is when we got on the bus to go back to Cheyney ( u know the bus ride that I almost got my kneck broken on).

Harley Davidson Factory

Well it was another day another trip. We woke up early not really early but yea... We got on the bus paired up only a few people got to sit by themselves. I had my seat buddy who didnt sleep the whole time but he still slept. He feel asleep on the way back and almost broke my neck. lol ( u had to be there to know exactly what I mean). We arrived and got right to the tour. We were led to the theatre where we spilt up itno to groups. We had a tour guide ( her name was Josie) who took us through the factory and broke down what we saw piece by piece. We saw the new colors they just got and stuff. It was a nice experience, now I can say I got the pleasure of seeing the Harley Davidson factory. ( none of my friends can say that!) The only part I didn't like was the traveling we had to walk for a long time and I was tired. lol But it was cool we took some cool pictures on the new motorcycle models! I looked cute!!

SEPTA

Tuesday was our first trip that we had to ride a school bus. It was hot and sticky and we had to
sit two to a seat. My seat buddy slept the WHOLE ride. We went to Septa headquarters got a
tour of the different controling stations and had lunch with a few of their interns. We talked about the different jobs at Septa and we were even told the only job they dont have is a cook. It was our first trip without Jose and Cory and it wasn't as jolly with them not being there. Later that day we went and took a tour of their shop. We saw where they work on the buses like painting, cleaning, and fixing them.

Tuskegee Keywords:

General H. H. Arnold

Benjamin o Davis Jr.

World War II

Booker T. Washington

The Tuskegee Conference ( History In The Making)

The day started really early and ended really well. The experience was phenominal and very educational. I learned about history and transportation. At our first stop we got a tour of the different Air force planes, weapons, and safety equipment. I was fortunate to have met some wonderful people and learn great information. The men in uniform were nice and very different then what I expected. They answered all our questioned and encouraged us to take an interest in transportation. It was a heart warming thing to see and talk to the men and women who in a few weeks will be going back to their dangerous duties for our country. Later on we went to the luncheon at the Marriot and met more men in uniforms. We had the pleasure of listening to a real Tuskegee airmens story and challenges he faced. We took photos with the men and women and got to be apart of an extraordinary event.
STI made history!
